We have implemented a fix and have determined that the issue with the core network has been resolved. Users who continue to have issues should contact Helpline for further assistance. We will continue to carefully monitor the health of the core network for further issues and to minimize or prevent disruptions in service.

Degraded system performance on core network

Core network services are experiencing abnormally degraded system performance. We are currently looking into the reason for the degraded performance. Users may continue to use the system, but they may experience slow loading times or brief outages. If you do not need to use the system or can postpone any operations until later, it may expedite recovery.

If your symptoms match those described here, please do not contact Helpline, as this will clog up phone lines and prevent more valuable information from being gathered. If your symptoms differ from those listed above or you experience an outage longer than a few minutes, please contact Helpline to report these symptoms, as the issues may be related, and your report can help us find the issue.

Update: GlobalProtect Issue Resolved

We have implemented a fix and have determined that the issue with GlobalProtect client on Macs has been resolved. Please check your Kenyon email for instructions on resolution. Users who continue to have issues should contact Helpline for further assistance.

Firewall Upgrade Planned

A Palo Alto firewall system upgrade is being planned for Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at 6:00 PM EST. During this time, connectivity to campus services may be slow or unavailable.

Other affected services may include network services and services hosted on-premise, like Banner. Connections in progress should not be interrupted, but connections in flight may be briefly interrupted as our systems fail over to secondary systems.

We thank you for your patience and understanding as we make these important updates for your security and to improve the performance of these services at Kenyon.
