Shibboleth SSO Issue

    We have implemented a fix and have determined that the Shibboleth SSO has been resolved. Users who continue to have issues should contact the help desk for further assistance. We apologize for this disruption in service, and we appreciate your patience and understanding. We will continue to work and improve to make sure this doesn't happen again.

    We have identified an issue with Shibboleth single sign-on. When trying to log into services, users may get a 504 Gateway Time-Out error. We are working to identify and recify the issue as quickly as possible. We have not identified a workaround yet but are working to diagnose the issue. We will leave updates here when we learn more information and as we implement fixes.

    A maintenance window has been planned for Tuesday, January 7, 2025 between 4:30 PM and 12:00 AM. During this time, campus network services may be unavailable as we perform important upgrades and repairs. Some buildings on south campus will lose temporary connectivity as we move them to new fiber lines.  A possible brief Internet outage may occur while we update the firewall.     We have identified an issue with Banner JobSub. When trying to run Banner forms, users may experience a failure of the Banner forms jobs to run.     During this time, Banner will be temporarily offline, and access to features such as MyBanner will be unavailable, as the IT team will be performing critical security and compliance upgrades to the Banner system. Common tasks like entering hours, checking grades, or viewing pay information will not be accessible.

Planned Maintenance: Network

    A maintenance window has been planned for November 25, 24 between 4:30 PM and 11:30 PM. During this time, some network services may be unavailable as we perform important upgrades.

    Between 4:30-6:30pm, there will be intermittent connectivity while we work to resolve an issue in the core network.  During this time Oden, Chalmers, Lowell, and Bexley/Colburn may see a longer outage than the rest of campus.

    Between 6:30-7:30pm, the Science Quad, and South Campus dorms will lose connectivity as we work with the Maintenance Department to resolve a power issue in the Higley Data Closet.

    Between 8-9pm, there will be intermittent wireless connectivity while upgrading our wireless infrastructure.

    Between 8:45-11pm, some buildings on south campus will lose temporary connectivity as we move them to new fiber lines.
